This is a Dynamic Drive Overlay driver. It is useful if you are trying to install a large HDD (1GB+) on an older system that doesn't recognize LBA mode. I've used this driver for installing 6GB HDDs into older laptops. (You still have to partition the drive 4 ways, but FDISK won't recognize the HDD otherwise.) This driver seems to work on just about every brand of HDD.
