This will allows tape drives to show up in the device selection list. Any QIC 157 drive can run from the "IDE (QIC157)" selection under "Standard Tape Drives".

Note As far as I'm aware, all Travan 4 drives are QIC157 -- EVEN the SCSI ones. Don't ask me why, just know that indeed this driver seems to work for both IDE and SCSI models.

Overwrite your Windows 2000 %WINDIR%\INF\tape.inf file with this file or make the modifications yourself.) This site maintains listings of scsi, ide, drive, tape backup, and other storage related driver drivers available on the web, organized by company. Includes links to useful resources.">

***WARNING Please note, Microsoft excluded support for all QIC drives due to issues with some QIC117 floppy controller drives with the Removable Storage Manager (see KB article Q217051)***

I opened the file c \winnt\inf\tape.inf with notepad. All I did was remove the "*" from the end of the 2nd line here
